DRYSCAN™ technology

DRYSCAN™ represents a family of modular processing units.

The bulk flow of coal particles is transformed into an annular curtain; optical characteristics of individual particles are analysed and particles that are deemed to have an ash level above the cutpoint set by the operator, are removed accurately with powerful blasts of compressed air. Cut points are set in a matter of seconds, not hours to suit variations in the seams and / or customer requirements.

The power of π facilitates the creation of a family of annular processing modules to meet capacities of small and large coal mines alike. It ensures a small footprint even for the large capacity plants whilst all subassemblies are easy accessible to optimise uptime.

Operational and performance parameters are continuously monitored and logged thus facilitating a real-time status to people responsible operation and maintenance.
